CAMPGROUND: Airstream factory parking lot “terraport”
LOCATION: Jackson Center, in central Ohio
WEATHER: Record-breaking hot. High 90
We took the backroads out of Ann Arbor south toward Jackson Center. Many farmers are in their fields harvesting corn and soybeans. Fall is such a nice time of year, even though the outside temps don’t feel like fall!
Lunch was cheese and crackers at a truck rest stop – not too exciting.
We arrived in Jackson Center, and there she was — our Airstream sitting in our camping spot. Like the song goes…..”Reunited Feels So Good”.
The dent has been repaired, and a few minor other things fixed. Life is good.
We spoke to a few other Airstream owners, including the lady next to us traveling alone, pulling a long 30’ foot one by herself. She spent the summer in Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick and is on her way home to Georgia. I’d better quit complaining about my fears of hooking up the trailer and driving in bad traffic!!!
DINNER: The refrigerator is bare, after our trip, and is now cooling after being turned off for several days. So, to the emergency food box I went. We had tuna in a cream sauce over egg noodles. Lots of dill to make it more interesting.
