LOCATION: Housesitting in Johannesburg, South Africa
WEATHER: Mostly sunny. High 75
Since the homeowers were scheduled to return this afternoon, we spent some time tidying up, and doing a final round of laundry. I made some more taboullah to use up the last of the bulgher and the plentiful mint and parsley from the garden.
Our only outing was to take the dogs for a final run in the dog park. Glad that those car rides are over, without any incident with other crazy drivers!
We did a little computer research on things to do in Dubai and in Barcelona on our way home. This will be our route. George read an article about all of the things we cannot do there. If we kiss in public, we can be deported and/or flogged!
The homeowners returned about 7:00 PM and we had a nice evening together. It is always a relief to end a housesitting assignment with healthy pets (aka – they survived!) and no issues..
DINNER: I thawed the frozen vegetable lasagne for the homeowners, jazzing it up a bit. We had smoked turkey leftovers with sweet potato fries.
BOOK: “A Handmaid’s Tale” by Margaret Atwood. I am probably the last person standing to read this book. You know it…..5 stars out of 5
