LOCATION: In our tiny house in Retama Village, in Mission, Texas
WEATHER: Back to summer. High 96
George biked a few blocks to the port home where the Airstream is parked to do his daily exercise routine. On his way, he passed our community green space which suffered a bit of damage in the recent thunderstorms….

He worked several more hours on the tile project. Thank goodness he rests periodically. He now has 3 tiles ready to be laid. It has taken him 3 days just to get all the grout and Kwikset out, down to the concrete – just for 3 tiles. Four to go! He can see a crack in the concrete which must have caused the tile crack. Hopefully, the settling has finished and it will not crack again. I am not even going to try to dust until the project is complete.
Not too much to write home about today, I’m afraid. Reading another good book.
DINNER: Thoughts of Mexico tonight…..chimichangas. If you order these in a restaurant, they are usually fattening and fried. These are oven-baked. I found this recipe on line and made it tonight, substituting fajita meat for the chicken. I added cilantro as a topping at the end. It turned out well.

Got any morels left? They are great in butter with pasta.
